Fertilizing

Our fertilizing program was specifically designed by a Penn State Turfgrass Science research scientist specifically for the Centre Region. Our certified applicators use a granular slow release product to provide your lawn with the appropriate amount of nutrients.

Our fertilizer applications are properly timed to maximize their effects starting early spring and continuing through fall. You may start our program at any time during the year, but the maximum response occurs when customers receive four applications per year.

Weed control is provided as needed at each visit throughout the growing season.

Why should I fertilize my lawn?

Fertilizing your lawn is important because it gives the grass the nutrients it needs to grow strong, healthy, and resilient. Over time, soil naturally loses essential elements like nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, which are key to vibrant color, thick growth, and deep roots. By replenishing these nutrients, fertilizing helps your lawn better withstand heat, foot traffic, pests, and weeds. It also encourages consistent growth, making the yard look fuller.
